Position summary: This position will serve as a project-wide extension and outreach specialist for a multi-institutional research project focused on improving water conservation across the Ogallala Aquifer region. This individual will work closely with the project manager and the extension team that spans 6 states to synthesize existing irrigated agriculture extension resources and develop and share resource guides across a variety of distribution formats. In addition, the program specialist will aid in overall project web development, social media content, and outreach, including the development of producer case studies, info-graphics, and other extension products. The position will be based in Fort Collins, CO, but will require occasional travel across the Ogallala Aquifer region. The position is annually renewable for up to 3 years, contingent on performance and available funding.
