The Central Plains Irrigation Association 2018 Annual Conference and Exhibition will focus on SDI (February 20) and and Center Pivot Irrigation (February 21). Some sessions pertinent to both SDI and center pivot irrigation will be offered both day. Speakers from Kansas State University, Colorado State University, the University of Nebraska, USDA and producers will share the latest results from their field tests and other information on water management.
On Tuesday, February 20, Conrad Weaver will present his documentary Thirsty Land (click here to see a trailer), which is focused on extreme drought in the Western U.S. and its effects on agriculture, cities and the environment. “We are so excited to have Conrad Weaver at our conference this year to present his documentary”, said Donna Lamm, executive assistant of Central Plains Irrigation Association.
Tuesday evening, Kansas Corn is sponsoring a dinner and farmer panel that will discuss “Optimizing Irrigation Efforts for the Long-term Outlook.” All irrigation conference registrants are automatically invited to attend this evening program.
The trade show will be open at various times throughout both days and is open/free for the general public. TThe show closes at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21.
Registration for the two days is $115 or $95 for one day. Registration includes admittance to all sessions, the equipment exposition, a copy of the Proceedings, two lunches, all breaks, and the social hour.
